Free bus service for Cheshire County Show visitors

VISITORS planning a journey to this year’s Cheshire County Show will benefit from a free bus service to get them to and from the showground.

The service has been funded and organised by Cheshire East Council and will run to and from Knutsford and Hartford railway stations.

Nigel Evans, Executive Director of the Cheshire County Show, said: "We aim to make the show easily accessible to the public and I hope this free bus service will encourage as many people as possible to visit.

"I would also like to send my thanks to Cheshire East Council for their invaluable partnership in funding and organising the bus service. Without their help this service would not have been possible.”

Attractions at this year’s show include the culinary delights of the Roberts Bakery Food Hall, a stunning display from Gauntlet birds of prey, and music from the world famous Band of the Brigade of Ghurkhas.

Cheshire East Councillor, Rod Menlove, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Environmental Services said: "I am pleased Cheshire East Council (CEC) is able to play such an important role in this years show.

"I am thankful to the Cheshire County Show organisers for their part in establishing such a positive working relationship with CEC. I am hopeful the free transport will boost the number of people attending this year’s show.”

The Knutsford railway station service will run to the showground every 40 minutes between 8am and 10.40am. The return buses will run every 40 minutes from 3pm until 7pm.
