A big thank you to everyone that attended the 2010 Cheshire County Show – helping to make it another record-breaking year.
Over 85,000 people came to this year’s show and huge thanks must go to the team of over 300 volunteers that once again helped to make the event possible.
Our thoughts now turn to next year as we plan another exciting show so we look forward to seeing you again on Tuesday & Wednesday, June 21 & 22.
WITH football fever gripping the nation, the Cheshire County Show is showing its support for England by screening the nation’s match against Slovenia.
As the likes of Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard try to bring home football’s ultimate prize in South Africa – for the first time since 1966 – show visitors will be able to cheer on the team from the showground in Tabley.
Organisers of this year’s event will be screening the game from the Tabley Restaurant and Bar on Wednesday, June 23, at 3pm.
Nigel Evans, Executive Director of the Cheshire County Show, said: "After taking in all the sights, sounds and smells of the Show, there will be no better way to round off the day than supporting England as they go for World Cup glory.”
Located opposite the Main Ring, the fully licensed Tabley Restaurant and Bar is expected to provide a fantastic atmosphere for the game where supporters can enjoy local beers, wines, spirits, champagne and Pimms.
But it isn’t just football fans who can taste the delights of the restaurant.
With 250-acres to cover, it provides visitors with the perfect place to relax and take a load off, whilst sampling a range of locally-produced dishes from hot pot, Cheshire cheese and leek quiche and Fisherman’s Pie to sandwiches, handmade cakes and sticky pastries.
