ENTRIES for animal classes at one of the countries largest county shows are underway now deadlines have been announced for the New Year. The Cheshire County Show regularly attracts up to 70,000 visitors as well as thousands of animals large and small competing for coveted titles. Deadlines for entries in the Gallaghers Mitsubishi Light Horse Section is Friday, April 11; Shire horses Friday, May 9; sheep, goats, rare breed sheep and pigs Friday, May 9; cattle Friday, May 16; poultry and cavies Friday, June 6; and cheese and wine Friday, May 16. Competitors wishing to enter this year’s Cheshire Show should apply for a schedule from show executive director Nigel Evans. Applications, together with a C5 size reply envelope with a 40p stamp, should be addressed to the Cheshire Agricultural Society, Clay House Farm, Flittogate Lane, Tabley, Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 0JH. |
