The Cheshire County Show has attracted a major new sponsor to back its prestigious presidents Lunch for the first time. This year, for the first time, the show’s flagship President’s Lunch, held on the opening Tuesday, June 17, in the exclusive Members’ Enclosure, is to be sponsored. Resort Homes, part of The Resort Group with head offices based in the UK and La Manga Club in Spain, which concentrates on property sales, management and rentals in the exclusive Murcia region, is to sponsor the Lunch. The prestigious lunch this year is hosted by the Show President for 2008 the Marquess of Cholmondeley, David Cholmondeley, and Tony Garnett, Chairman of the Cheshire Agricultural Society. It will also be attended by show officials, sponsors and leading members of Cheshire’s agricultural society. It is the first time in the Show’s 170-year history there has been a major sponsor for the President’s Lunch. Executive Director Nigel Evans said the support of an international company highlighted the status of the Cheshire Show as one of the country’s leading agricultural shows. Graham Pullan, CEO of Resort Group said the company was delighted to be involved with such a high profile, iconic event. “The Presidents’ Lunch, especially within the well established Cheshire County Show, offers us a wonderful opportunity to meet the right sort of people in very much the right sort of setting” he said. Resort Homes, under the banner of The Resort Group has also taken a double sized stand in the Shoppers’ Mews. |
