Agri Centre shows food journey ‘From Plough to Plate’ The Sainsbury's Agri Centre is a focal point of the Cheshire Show, where visitors and the agricultural community come together to discover where our food comes from.Visitors are taken along the food journey, which includes beef and dairy farmers, butchers, cheese makers, feed and equipment suppliers, professional services and many more businesses related to the journey of food ‘From Plough to Plate’, where your food really comes from! Since the Sainsbury's Agri Centre was re-launched in 2008, to encourage visitors to have a more of a hands-on approach and fuller understanding of the process of Cheshire’s food production industry, it has proved to be a massive success – with visitors young and old. The Sainsbury's Agri Centre is perfect for youngsters to understand where milk comes from and see cows being milked, as well as feeding lambs and calves. Adults and children will be mesmerized by the process of making cheese, which is demonstrated in the Sainsbury's Agri Centre, as well as a butcher showing where different cuts of meat come from. ![]() Principal Partner of the Agri- centre Watch this space for more information on the Sainsbury's Agri Centre’s attractions for 2012 and for trade enquiries to display in the Sainsbury's Agri Centre please contact us. |
