Stunt spectacle to headline 2013 Cheshire Show

One of the world’s most prolific stunt drivers is set to make his comeback at this year’s Cheshire County Show.

Matt Coulter, aka "the Kangaroo Kid”, has entertained millions of fans across the world with his heart stopping bike stunts and theatrical showmanship.

After a four year break, Australian-born Matt is preparing to return to the UK circuit this summer along with his 18-year-old son Sam and a brand new stunt show.

"Matt has performed some of the most dangerous jumps possible and is one of the world’s best stunt motorcyclists,” said Nigel Evans, Executive Director of the Cheshire Show.

"We’re delighted that Matt and Sam will play a thrilling part in a packed schedule of attractions for visitors at this year’s Cheshire Show and we look forward to announcing more details in the run up to the event.”

The new show features stunts including wheelies, quad roll-overs and a never before seen in the UK moving ramp jump, which involves both Matt and Sam jumping nose to tail off the ramp as it is driven at 20 miles per hour.

Matt currently holds the world record for this jump after clearing four moving 4X4s for the TV Show Guinness World Records.

He has also appeared on a number of TV shows including Don’t try this at Home, You Bet and MTV, when he jumped a flying airplane for the second time and has also worked as a stunt camera rider on films such as Tomb Raider, Die Another Day and The Mummy Returns.

The Cheshire County Show will be held at the Tabley Showground, near Knutsford on June 18 and 19.

More than 80,000 people flocked to the agricultural event last year to enjoy many of the attractions, including thousands of livestock, horses, dogs and pigs.

Other attractions include the Roberts Bakery Food Hall, Sainsbury’s Agri-Centre and the Countryside Experience Area along with hundreds of trade stands.
